Ing. Dušan Janíček studied at the Faculty of Chemical Technology SVŠT in Bratislava in 1977, Department of Carbohydrate Chemistry and Technology. In 1977-1983 operating technician in the sugar factory, 1983-1987 head of production in the Sugar factory and canning factory, š.p. Sládkovičovo. In 1987-1989 assistant professor and professor at the Department of Chemistry and Technology of saccharides and Food Preservation of CHTF STU in Bratislava. In 1989-1992 Director of the state enterprise Cukrovar and canning factory in Sládkovičovo, 1992-1997 Managing Director and Executive Director of CUKOS s.r.o. Sládkovičovo, in 1997-1999 Director of the Secretariat of GR BAVEX a.s.
In 1999-2001 Director General of Stredoslovenské cukrovary,a.s. AGRANA Rimavská Sobota, 2001-2003 Director General SLOVENSKÉ CUKROVARY, a.s., sites Rimavská Sobota and Sered. In 2003-2009 Member of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of SLOVENSKÉ CUKROVARY, s.r.o. Sered. Since 2010 authorized agent and director of external relations SLOVENSKÉ CUKROVARY s.r.o. Sered.
Since 2004 -2018 Chairman of the Food Union of Slovakia, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Slovak Agricultural and Food Chamber for Food industry, member of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Employers' Associations.
2015 –2018 Member of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, SPU Nitra.
Since 2015 Chairman of the Agro-Food Section of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, member of the Industrial Council of the Slovak Technical University STU CHTF, vice-chairman of the Board of the Slovak Sugar Association, member of the editorial board of Listy cukrovarnícke a repárske.
