Imre Szeman is University Research Chair of Communication Arts at Waterloo. He is author or editor of more than 20 books, including his most recent: On Petrocultures: Globalization, Culture, and Energy (2019). His current research focuses on the social and cultural changes that will need to take place to enable energy transition and to address climate change. In 2020, he will be Leverhulme Professor of Energy and Ecology at the University of Glasgow.
